The truck had a minor valve stem seal oil leak, so we removed the cylinder heads to replace the seals

While the engine was apart, I decided to do the job properly by fitting new piston rings, new big-end bearings, and new main bearings

There was absolutely nothing else wrong with the engine—it was running perfectly—but since it was already apart, it made sense to complete this preventative work

As a result, the next owner can have complete confidence in the engine and shouldn’t have to worry about it for many years to come.
